Defining the first cloud user experience and a new way of working for the Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Belgium customer in its new commercial product hub and web applications.

Background

When we partnered with Wolters Kluwer TAA Belgium as a team in August 2019, our task was to create the first cloud-based product hosted on an online product hub called "Adsolut.com," which did not yet exist. Our goal was to define the first iteration of an ideal Digital Customer Experience and establish a new way of working, with a focus on this first product and others that would follow.

The problem

During interviews with a diverse selection of customers, we identified a need to solve a lot of frustrations regarding fiscal simulations. Our customers, which included tax accountants and small and medium-sized enterprises, had to deal with numerous challenges when performing fiscal simulations. These included calculating the cost of ownership of a certain vehicle, selecting the best legal entity for a new business, creating a financial plan, and optimizing long-term savings.

The customers of these businesses just wanted answers, but often didn't know where to start and didn't want to bother their accountant. Meanwhile, tax accountants had to deal with numerous Excel files, as well as collaboration and compliance issues.

Our team's main problem was the lack of an online payment method, the high demand for support, and a very long onboarding process for our on-premise products.

Hypothesis

We believe that providing an always up-to-date tool on an easy-to-onboard platform for tax accountants will make their workflow more efficient, save time, and can provide more value to their clients.

How the solution solved our user’s problem

Fiscal Simulations and Adsolut.com launched simultaneously. Customers are now able to onboard Adsolut.com, and manage members and licenses online. They have the availability of a one-stop-shop regarding everything WK TAA BE has to offer in terms of Support, resulting in less friction for our customers.

Fiscal Simulations helped customers by having a tool that’s always up to date with compliance and can deliver powerful simulations to every member of their organization.
